Overview
The 6th century Silver Bible, written in gold and silver ink on purple vellum in the Gothic of Bishop Wulfila 4th century translation. It preserves the principal surviving text of the Gothic language. Taken as war booty from Prague to Sweden in 1648, 187 of its original 336 leaves survive.
