Grimani Breviary
Overview
One of the greatest Flemish illuminated manuscripts, a breviary completed around 1515 with miniatures associated with Gerard Horenbout and other masters of Ghent and Bruges. Cardinal Domenico Grimani left it to Venice in 1523. Its calendar landscapes are gems of early Netherlandish art.
