Overview

A 20 meter medical papyrus of around 1550 BCE, among the oldest and longest medical texts known. It covers hundreds of remedies, diagnoses, and spells for diseases of the stomach, eyes, skin, and more. Purchased at Thebes by Georg Ebers in 1872, it anchors Egyptian medical knowledge.
