Sarajevo Haggadah
Overview
A 14th century illuminated Passover Haggadah from Catalonia, carried across Europe by refugee families and smuggled out of Nazi reach by a Bosnian librarian who hid it in a village mosque. Its survival, restored after the 1990s war, made it a symbol of cultural rescue.
