Overview

The oldest most authoritative manuscript of the Masoretic Hebrew Bible, precise point by Aaron ben Asher around 930 in Tiberias. Venerated for centuries in the Aleppo synagogue, about a third was lost in riots in 1947 before the remainder reached Israel. It fixed the standard text of the Hebrew Bible.
