Exeter Book
Overview
The largest surviving collection of Old English poetry, copied around 970 and given to Exeter Cathedral by Bishop Leofric in 1072. It holds The Wanderer, The Seafarer, The Wife's Lament, and some 90 riddles. The cornerstone of English poetry, still kept in its home cathedral.
