Codex Borgia
Overview
The finest surviving pre-conquest Mexican religious manuscript, a screenfold of 76 deerskin pages painted before 1521 with the ritual calendar, gods, and divinatory almanacs of the Nahua world. Named for Cardinal Borgia, its home is the Vatican Library. Central to Mesoamerican calendar studies.
