Chester Beatty Biblical Papyri
Overview
A group of early Christian papyrus codices bought by mining magnate Alfred Chester Beatty in the early 1930s. They include P45, P46 and P47, among the oldest surviving manuscripts of the Gospels and Acts, the letters of Paul, and Revelation, dating mostly to the 3rd century. P46 is one of the earliest collections of Paul's letters. Some leaves of the same codices belong to the University of Michigan.
