Blue Quran
Overview
A famous luxury Quran manuscript of the late 9th century written in gold Kufic script on indigo-dyed parchment, unique in its coloring. Its leaves were dispersed over time and are now spread across Tunis, the Met, the Louvre, and private hands. Around 100 leaves survive in various collections.
