Overview
Seventy fragile birch bark leaves of practical mathematics, radiocarbon dated between the 3rd and 4th centuries CE. It contains the earliest known use of a dot as zero, along with arithmetic and algebra problems solved in Sanskrit verse. Found in 1881 near Peshawar.
